The nation's leader made a trip to meet with national troops in the eastern front on the weekday. He stated that he met with fighters at the operational headquarters of the first unit of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, an urban center approximately 12 miles from the city.

Local officials confirmed a blast at the industrial complex that resulted in structural damage to partially collapse, adding that the reason for the blast was not known. The national defense command stated there was considerable damage to the facility.
Ukraine's military confirmed attacking a petroleum facility at the location in Russia's Nizhny Novgorod region east of Moscow. The extent of the damage was being assessed. The local official confirmed an attack by 20 drones near the refinery.
National guard personnel will now have to secure petroleum plants against unmanned assaults after the Russian leader signed a law on the start of the week increasing their involvement in the military campaign. The head of state also enacted a decree authorizing recruitment continuously whereas before it happened only during limited periods in fall and spring. Russian law prohibits draftees from being assigned to fighting, but after their military service they join the reserve forces, placing them in danger of being deployed to conflict.
Heavy military spending have also started to pressure the national finances, with authorities hiking rates to plug a rising deficit.
Zelenskyy called on America to continue considering to providing Ukraine with long-range weapons. Addressing a European Union summit from the conflict zone, the Ukrainian president also demanded more global measures on the federation – including on fuel and power segments – and said he sought accession to the union by the end of the 2020s.
